TerraNetwork to begin providing hosting for Magento

Magento is a new open-source eCommerce shopping cart programme and within the next weeks TerraNetwork will begin the provision of hosting and installation services for this new programme.

 

Unlike ReadyCart, osCommerce or Zen Cart the size of the files required for installation are very large (69 megabytes), and for this reason we will be offering a paid installation service at £50.00 plus VAT. Customers will of course retain the ability to just purchase hosting and to install Magento for themselves.

 

Initially hosting for Magento will only be provided on our 'stargate' server because Magento requires the use of PHP versions higher than PHP 5.2.0 and 'stargate' is the only server which uses PHP 5 exclusively. This will change at the end of July when all servers are switched to use PHP 5 only.
